My Story
Before becoming a British-Canadian historian and mastercraftmen, Mackie was working as Mine Inspector and Chief Executive Officer and President of coal mine safety . When the pits closed down Mackie went on to work for Leeds United steward and e protector, guardian, escort, minder, or security officer.
Despite having a steady, prestigious, and clear career path, he was "miserable" and felt "bored". He has described himself as being a bit depressed and unfulfilled, living a "good" life, but wanting something more.
The "Quarter-Life Crisis"
In his mid-30s, around the time he became an atheist, Mackie realized he had one life to live and needed to change direction. The decision was driven by a desire to "do something fun" and to live a "life less ordinary so he went into studying Joinery and furniture artisan and history of the art of craft and furniture artisan passing at a high level.
Almost immediately after leaving his job, he started performing his art for event across world and also write a number of items for woodcraft magazine and the workshop where he ended up working with his long time friend Robert Thompson mackie got award a placement working for Chippendale under the leadership of Callum Luke Chippendale, Aidan Luke Chippendale, and Lewis Albert Chippendal before moving onto working for himself till he broke his arm playing football for Pine's nest !!
